Latest Advances in Psychiatry Symposium

A collaboration between Progress and the Psychopharmacology Special Interest Group of the Royal College of Psychiatrists

This annual Symposium began in 2002: it was the idea of the late Professor Robert Kerwin, Professor of Psychopharmacology at the Institute of Psychiatry in London. Professor Kerwin was instrumental in putting the programme together each year, on behalf of the Psychopharmacology Special Interest Group of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.

The PSIG intends the Symposium to be part of a structured CPD programme. So the objective of the Symposium going forward is to provide senior psychiatrists with independent, up to date, practical information that will support them in achieving their personal CPD objectives and in their everyday clinical practice.

Symposium XI will be held on 28 March 2012, at the Royal College of Physicians in Regent's Park, London, with the theme Personalised medicine in psychiatry: from diagnosis to treatment. The Keynote Lecture will be given by Professor Peter Tyrer of Imperial College, London. More information to follow shortly.
