ECT in a patient with depression and terminal cancer

There is currently limited research investigating the role of ECT in the management of depression in patients suffering from terminal illness. Here, the authors present the case of a woman with terminal cholangiocarcinoma, whose severe depression was alleviated with the use of ECT in the last few months of her life.
