Dopamine agonists and impulse control disorders in Parkinson's disease
Authors
Abstract
This issue of Progress features two case reports of patients who developed impulse control disorders following treatment with a dopamine agonist for Parkinson's disease, each with serious and lasting consequences. Here, Dr MacMahon and Dr Macphee shed more light on this group of medication‐related disorders, the risk factors for their development and management strategies for both prevention and treatment.
